My new craze has been adding parsley to about everything I can think of… Smoothies, juices, salads, you name it. Parsley is a natural diuretic and in this heat I need all the help I can get. I must say the vita-mix has been a game changer, in just 30 seconds you can have a brisk glass of this cleansing tonic. I topped mine with a little cayenne to give my metabolism a little boost.
This drink is made with:
A handful of fresh Parsley, and fresh Basil if you have it.
2 Tbs of Apple Cider Vinager
1/2 a Cucumber
Squeeze of a Lemon
2 cups of Ice
about 3-4 cups of Water
dash of Cayenne
If you prefer a little sweetness in your drink, I recommend, adding a pear, or a few fresh strawberries. I like my tonics to taste a little “too healthy” because then my brain really believes its really helping my body out.
It is really beneficial to have the vita-mix for this tonic but you can also use a high powered blender. Just add all the ingredients and give it a whirl. Enjoy!
