I grew up in Seattle and was raised with a strong Norwegian heritage by parents that were both born in Bergen, Norway. I was really blessed to grow up with many talented cooks in our family and it is because of them that I have developed a confidence in the kitchen. Going out to eat meant missing out on mom’s home cooked meals. I remember ordering my favorites in restaurants and being disappointed, thinking “Mom always makes this better.”
It seemed to come so naturally to my mom and other cooks in the family that I believed everyone had the ability to whip things together from scratch. I still believe everyone can create amazing dishes from scratch, I just think it takes building a little kitchen confidence at first. My hope is to build kitchen confidence for others with a focus on cooking wholesome and clean foods without refined sugars, and without processed foods.

Cooking healthy is something I grew a passion for at an early age. When my father was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon cancer at the early age of 40, our family had to develop a conscious awareness of what we put in our bodies. My Mom completely changed our daily diets and made a huge effort to buy organic, grass fed meats, farmers market veggies, unrefined goods, and encouraged my brother and I to stay away from sodas and other artificial sweetened goodies. I believe food is natures medicine and making healthy food choices greatly benefits the optimal health of our bodies. Sadly my father passed away after battling cancer for 20 months. Although tragic and I miss him every day, this experience influenced me to continue researching clean and healthy eating. I hope to inspire others to adapt more of it into their own daily lifestyle.
I am also a full time model, now living in LA, so loving food in my industry is a bit of a anomaly which is also why eating food in its most natural form with the least amount of processing has helped me maintain a healthy physique. I have been modeling for about 6 years now and have been blessed to live all over the world for work. Some of the cities I have lived in are, Sydney, Athens, London, Paris, Hamburg, Miami, New York and now LA. My favorite thing about traveling is learning the culture through food. It is a perfect way to connect to people and boy are they proud and more then willing to share their cuisine with you when you are interested.
